Playgrounds are being upgraded or added all over Auckland, but Te Atatu Peninsula is severely lacking in this area, despite having thousands of young people living here.
With the major Housing New Zealand developments happening in Te Atatu Peninsula, we strongly believe that the Henderson-Massey Board needs to review the existing playgrounds and Parks in Te Atatu Pensinula to ensure that the local infrastructure can support the addition of many more people, particularly children into the community.
Specifically Kervil Park does not currently have anything in it, despite there being a significant movement of people into the area through private and Housing New Zealand developments.
We want to ensure our parks and playgrounds are meeting the needs of our people.
To Henderson-Massey Board,

We want to ensure our parks and playgrounds are meeting the needs of our people.
We propose that a playground and supporting park furniture is added into Kervil Park, Te Atatu Peninsula and that the area is reviewed to ensure passive surveillance so that all members of our community can enjoy the park safely.
