Support for student action against cuts

We the undersigned support the occupations, rallies and marches organised by students in opposition to education cuts and tuition fee increases.

They are an inspiration to all those who wish to see resistance to the Coalition government's wider attacks on welfare and public services.

However,we cannot afford to let the students fight alone. We therefore call on UCU to back a national walkout of staff and students (on the day
that the tuition fee legislation is first debated in Parliament) to show our solidarity with the protests.
