Kenridge/Durbanville Hills is a beautiful area. People often take afternoon walks with their pets, children ride their bicycles or walk home from school and wild life live alongside us in harmony.
A little while ago our cat went missing. We searched everywhere and even put our feelers out to our surrounding vets, SPCA, DARG and TEARS. We were worried sick about him as he isn't much of a wanderer. We ultimately found that he had been knocked by a car and passed away. This is not the only instance however. My partner and I have noticed dead birds and squirrels in the roads too.
The cars drive way too quickly around the roads in Kenridge and Durbanville Hills that it compromises the safety of children, animals and anyone crossing the road to be frank.
I hereby propose that speed bumps be placed mainly in Franschoek Road and Drakenstein Roads.
We, the undersigned, hereby propose that speed bumps be placed in Franschoek Road and Drakenstein Roads in Kenridge/Durbanville Hills.
