RECENTLY A PROPOSED BAN ON SMOKEING WAS PASSED IN LAS VEGAS NEV. JUST BEFORE SAID BAN WAS TO TAKE PLACE AN INJUCTION WAS SUBMITTED BY TAVERN OWNERS AND CASINO OWNERS IN LAS VEGAS STATEING THIS BAN WAS UNCONSITUTIONAL.
THIS WAS INJUNCTION WAS FOUND TO BE CORRECT AND WAS UPHELD BY A FEDERAL JUDGE. NOW THE NON-SMOKERS ARE WRITEING THIS JUDGE STATEING THAT THE VOTERS HAVE SPOKEN'. I BELIVE AS DO SEVERAL OTHER'S THAT NO ONE THOUGHT THIS BILL WOULD BE PASSED IN LAS VEGAS, WHERE THERE ARE SEVERAL NON-SMOKEING CASINO'S AND TAVERN'S FOR NON-SMOKERS TO GO TO.
I AM NOW STARTING BOTH AN ON LINE PETITION AND A PAPER PETITION HOPEING TO REVERSE THIS BILL OR TO GET A NEW VOTE ON THE PROPOSED SMOKEING BAN.
We, the undersigned, call on the State of Nevada to eliminate the proposed ban on smoking in bars, taverns and casinos, as well as places where gameing is allowed in the state i.e. conven. stores, restaurant's etc. and leave it up to the owners of said establishments to have their own choice as to allow smoking or not.
