We, in the US have been struggling with healthcare reform for years without an equitable resolution. Our government has become a circus of one-upsmanship Democrats against Republican with ALL of Congress forgetting who hired them. One of special interest-led favoretism and one where lobbyists and litigators rule.
A government of the lawyers for the lawyers and by the lawyers. The "fat cats" in Washington, of BOTH parties forget who put them there and sit in their ivory towers finger-pointing and argueing partisan politics while unlike anyone else in America, they receive health benefits COST FREE for life, in addition of having no parameters in voting for raises for themselves and other benefits none of us will ever be fortunate enoughto receive.
I, as ALL Americans should be, am sickened by the bickering and fighting. It's time to work for the PEOPLE NOT the PARTY.
We, the undersigned, call on all citizens of the US to demand their representatives begin to represent the people who hired them.
Secondly, that all elected officials have to procure health insurance in the open market just like the rest of us who do not have the priviledge to be permanently insured.
Thirdly, that any salary raise requested by Congress be approved by a general vote of the people. In leiu of that, that we, as American citizens, vote every incumbent out of office regardless of party until they get it right.
