Require Landlords to install Window Guards

On March 19, 2019, little Ahnelly Rivera, just 5 years old, tragically lost her life when she fell 4 stories to her death. from the Livingston Building in the 1400 block of Hamilton Street. The apartment did not have window guards, nor does Pennsylvania law require them. This is not the first incident in Allentown, PA wherein a child or children have lost lives due to this blatant disregard for their lives and safety. In 2015, two sisters also fell from the fourth floor window of the apartment building at 702 Turner St. ,Tamara Arnette,3, and her sister, Tiana, age 5. Tamara died. And, although this tragedy led to the girl's apartment building being fitted with window guards, it's not mandatory. According to lehighvalleylive.com, Allentown was considering mandatory window guards, but there seems to be a stalemate on that, because nothing has been done, and now another innocent child is dead. How many more innocent children have to die before something is done? Please do something! The people are pleading for this to stop. Let's put this law in place and call it 'Ahnelly's Law' in her honor.
