Due to government cutbacks the staffing levels for the London and South East Enforcement will be cut from 174 full time posts to 144.
This will remove all the Immigration Officers working at the Dover Eastern Docks, one of the busiest Ports in the UK.
The UK Border Agency has announced that they will be cutting the number of posts in Kent from 174 full time officers to 144.
If these cuts go ahead then it will severely limit the ability of the Border Agency in Kent to identify, arrest and effect the removal of people who have no legal basis to stay in the UK.
