We live in a world where for far too long, racial discrimination, rudeness, hate speech and narrow-mindedness has been allowed to roam free.
A majority of the staff, drivers and phone operators employed at KTEL Thiras, in Santorini island continue to exhibit verbal abuse and racially discriminate against foreign tourists.
There are hundreds of online reviews documenting instances of verbal and physical abuse as well as racial slurs. This behaviour and their indifference to the safety and wellbeing of the passengers carries over to their driving, pushing people on or off the bus and mistreating individuals that are confused by lacking information.
We, the undersigned, condemn the behaviour of the staff of KTEL Thiras and call upon the authorities to impose stricter regulations for the wellbeing of passengers on board their buses.
We, the undersigned, demand that bus drivers, ticketing agents or staff of KTEL Thiras be investigated and handled through disciplinary measures which may require police intervention in the case of racist incidents.
