It's no secret the effect fireworks have on the majority of pets and livestock. In todays society there shouldn't be room for a blind eye to be turned to the sheer terror caused by rockets and bangers etc when we are supposed to be an animal loving nation. I understand that some people don't want to let go of certain traditions like Bonfire night and all that comes with it but we can at least ban the sale of fireworks to the general public and leave them to the organised events specialists. It's about time we showed that we are interested in our animals welfare and not just all talk!
We, the undersigned, call on Parliament to revoke the legal sale of fireworks to the general public in the United Kingdom on the grounds of animal cruelty.
