A report calling for the abolition of the TV licence was sent to the Commission, the BBC and HM government in February 2002 but nothing has yet been done.
We, the undersigned, call on the European Commission to take steps to see that this form of unlawful state aid provided by HM government and which gives the BBC a financial advantage over its competitors is abolished as soon as is practical.
