The MTA has mismanaged its finances on the backs of New Yorkers for long enough. The payroll tax must be repealed immediately; businesses can no longer foot the bill for a bankrupt government entity. It is unfair and unrealistic to continue taxing school districts and businesses because a government-funded entity cannot be fiscally responsible. I am hopeful that we can end this tax and help reform the MTA.
We the undersigned believe the MTA payroll tax has hurt families, businesses & taxpayers throughout the region. It needs to be repealed.
