We want Siddharth P Malhotra back in Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai

Ek Hazaron Mein Meri Behna Hai, EHMMBH for short, used to be a show with a difference. The story revolved around two sisters who dote on each other but there was also a good balance in the story where other characters played into the relationships and in short the journey of the sisters.

There were many unique plots brought into the story to maintain the interest of the audience and the most important of that was the battle of the younger sister through Leukemia. It was beautifully presented and the struggles she had to face as a cancer patient were portrayed with a lot of insight. It was during this track that we show one of the female leads(Maanvi Chaudhary) of the show sporting a bald look and one of the male leads(Virat Singh Vadehra) shave his hair in a scene. The show portrayed the insecurities of a cancer patient and the love and support of her loved ones.

A lot of credit for this groundbreaking show is due to its former Directror Mr. Siddharth P Malhotra.
Yes, its former director. For he made a decision to leave the show when too much pressure was being put on him to change the storyline to fit the run-off-the-mill style of other Indian TV serials. Many plots are now being repeated and the story makes little sense. As a Director, Mr. Malhotra should have the liberty to show something new through his creativity and we believe he was unnecessarily deprived of the chance to send a strong message to the community because of this.

A Television Network has a responsibility to present a piece of work which sends a message and does not mock reality or simply show beautiful faces. What used to be a programme for intelligent viewers is now being ruined as the new creative team is experimenting with old story lines and hackneyed plots from even their own show. As intelligent viewers we feel let down and we feel that a story that used to be different is worth fighting for which is only possible under the expertise of Mr. Malhotra.

This petition is signed with a humble request to bring Mr. Siddharth Malhotra back on the "Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai" creative team and also allow him the creative freedom to bring the show back to what it was.
