Walmart - Add the Pan-African flag to inventory!

Dear Walmart,

Thank you for removing the Confederate flag from your online inventory and retail locations. Although we applaud your Corporate Action, we request that you take Corporate Responsibility one step further and make the Pan-African flag available online and in stores around the world. The Pan-African flag is a unifying symbol of dignity to the worldwide African community.

The Pan-African flag was created in 1920 by Marcus Garvey to boldly declare the basic humanity of African people living on the continent of Africa and in the diaspora. Garvey chose, Red, Black and Green as its color scheme to reflect the shared struggle of all people with African heritage.

The Pan-African flag and its ideology inspired many African leaders to liberate their countries from colonial rule during the 20th century. As a result, many independent African nations incorporated these colors into the flags of their contemporary states. In the United States, the flag is typically showcased during July 4th to remind us that although Americans were a free people after the formal adoption of the Declaration of Independence in 1776, freedom for people of African descent wouldn't come until 1865. Recognizable freedom wasn't bestowed until the Civil Rights Act of 1963. Apartied was still in existence in South Africa until 1994. Therefore, the Pan-African flag represents the continuous struggle by people of African Descent to be respected in modern society.

By removing the Confederate Flag you've proven that you will not support hate, but you must now prove that you'll support our dignity. Honor the struggle of the African community by showing us that you are willing to support a true heritage symbol of peace and freedom.
