According to the Standing Orders for petitions for the Legislative Council (LC) and Legislative Assembly (LA), as well as the guidelines for petitions for the City of Melville and probably most local governments there are specific requirements for the signatures of petitioners to be presented in its original form on the petition form.
The Legislative Assembly and Legislative Council offices confirm that online petitions are not accepted.
Online petitions should be accepted as they support the way people live and work in the on-line and interconnected world today.
