For the past 20 years, Vryurg and surrounding areas have been experiencing water problems that they have escalated for the past 3 years and the authorities ignore to resolve this problem. It continues to inflict community inherent human rights as enshrined in the constitution of the republic, and further elaborated in sub-clause referable Chapter 2 of the constitution that deals with the bill of rights.
We, the undersigned, are concerned community of Vryburg who urge the president of South Africa and Human Rights Commission to act urgently and assist us to resolve the water problem that overwhelms Vryburg, and other service delivery issues that are prevalent and demean our community inherent rights such as :
- Bucket system
- Poverty
_ Unemployment amongst other things
The community of Vryburg has previously been in a similar situation which led to the development of a Resolution in 1982. We request that the resolution be revisited and request that Interventions be made to assist the community with the Water Problem.
