On June 14 there was an assault orchestrated on the civil rights of every southern born person in the United States. The Congress stood idly by and watched this happen. Offering no help, no consideration for over 17,500 Confederate citizens who gave their lives for the State of South Carolina during the civil war.
Congress let Governor Nikki Haley and all politicians of South Carolina make a farce and complete mockery of the memory of these men.
We, the undersigned, call on the Government of these United States, to stop the assault and Racist attacks on the Southern heritage and history that is being done to the Confederate Battle Flag.
We demand you give due consideration to the significance of over 17,500 Confederate citizens who gave their lives for the State of South Carolina during the civil war.
