Please sign and broadly disseminate to your friends and family members that are resident of Uniondale. Work was supposed to begin this past Spring as per the Nassau County Department of Public Works.
Petition Statement: As residents of the Uniondale School District, we are calling for Norma Gonsalves, the Presiding Officer of the Nassau County Legislature, to put contract B11-16, Phase One of the Uniondale Avenue Streetscaping Project on the agenda. We were told that the work would be started in Spring of 2016, and to be kept waiting more than a year when the contractor was selected in Spring 2016, and the project bonded is unconscionable. Uniondale, south of Hempstead Turnpike has been systematically ignored for many years. There is no reasonable reason to delay any further - get the streetscaping started now
