Union Terrace Gardens in the centre of Aberdeen is common good land, owned by the people of Aberdeen.
It is the only city centre green space in the city. It is NOT a development opportunity.
We the undersigned remind our elected officials, unelected quango members such as ACSEF and Scottish Enterprise, and private business interests that Union Terrace Gardens is owned by all the citizens of Aberdeen: it is Common Good land.
We do not accept that its development is crucial for the city's economic prosperity; we do want to see our many areas of brown field re-developed instead.
We want the gardens improved, not built over or under.
We do not consent to any building projects in or under Union Terrace Gardens.
