Uncapping Tax Limits For Houston County Hospital District

The Houston County Hospital District was formed in 1993 as a taxing entity to provide the necessary support to a lessor of our hospital located at 1100 East Loop 304, Crockett, Texas. At that time .15 cents per hundred dollars was the maximum a property owner in the county could be taxed. This is no longer a sufficient amount in order for our community to have a hospital. Our hospital is currently closed and we desire a special called election to allow for us to vote that this cap be removed.
We, the undersigned, agree to a special called election to vote to end the limitation of .15 cents per hundred on our property given the increased cost of healthcare.
