Citizens of Ormond:
Help establish "Quiet Zones" for trains in Ormond.
Have you ever lost sleep due to loud train horns in Ormond? By law, every train is required to blow its horn at least four times at each public crossing. This noise problem is a major quality of life issue in Ormond. But, there's a smart community solution. It is called a Quiet Zone. When that’s done, the train horns will blow no more. It all begins with you. Your voice. Our VOICE: Please sign this petition for a Quiet Zone so that Parish Council officials hear us in big numbers. Together, we can increase public safety. We can silence the horns. And, we can boost the quality of life in our great neighborhood.
Our goal is to attain 500 signatures, so please share with your friends!
Old Metairie has already established a quiet zone along Metairie Road. Bywater is in the process of establishing a Quiet Zone.
