This link leads to possibly the dumbest petition ever created in the history of petitions.
It claims that "Avatar: The Last Airbender" discriminates against Non-Asians... well, I guess that means we should get rid of every single show! Avatar has an amazing ethnic variety, influenced by cultures from India, Native American, Chinese, Japanese and even Ancient Greek!
It has never discriminated against anime-haters, and if you think we should take it down because of it, sure, why don't we just take down, oh, I don't know, everything ON TV. Violence. Death. Fighting.
These things are all over the world. Of course, there is a little fighting in Avatar, implied deaths, but I would call this minimal compared to other TV shows being aired AS WE SPEAK. How about we just ban the news while we're at it? That shows violence a lot!
Children can't grow up leading a sheltered life, because when they leave for the real world, they're going to be shocked at all the death and blood and gore.
Avatar: The Last Airbender exposes them subtly to the effects of war, the tragedies of fighting, having everything you loved and had torn apart. It gives us moral lessons worth learning, like animal equality, family and loyalty, just to name A FEW.
