The State of Nevada Should Ban Assault Weapons

On October 1st, Las Vegas was the site of the deadliest mass shooting in American history. Our elected officials' response has been dismal. A few have meagerly suggested banning bump stocks, but that is not enough. The federal government was able to pass an assault weapons ban in 1994, but unfortunately it expired and was not renewed in 2004. In 2013, the state of Maryland passed their own assault weapons ban and we can too! Nevada needs to ban the future sale or transfer of these types of weapons.
