The Pop Shop for Pickering Ribfest 2015

My name is Danielle, and I am the founder of The Pop Shop!

If it weren't for my 2 year old, The Pop Shop wouldn't even exist!

I started my business while on maternity leave and after suffering from a severe case of "new mom syndrome". I was looking for ways to stay at home full-time with my son. Baking has always been a passion of mine, and the concept of cake pops literally fell into my lap. I decided this was what I was going to do. I woke up one day, contacted Groupon, posted a deal and as they say - the rest is history!

I have been in business for 2 years now, and I can truly say that everything happens for a reason. I have found my niche - this is what I was born to do!!!

My business and its growth are very important to me. Watching my business grow in the past two years and having the ability to inspire others has been such a blessing.

Participating in community events such as Pickering Ribfest would only help me to continue to grow.

In December 2014, I e-mailed Pickering Ribfest in regards to becoming a vendor for the 2015 Ribfest taking place June 5, 6 & 7.

On January 8th, I received the following response:

"hi danielle ...we will take pass. a number of your products would be in competition with other vendors who pay high rents to be there. we thank you for your interest."

On January 19th, Pickering Ribfest created a post on their Facebook page seeking vendors.

Participating in this event is very important to me. My passion and purpose drive me, and this is not a response my heart will allow me to accept. Especially when there are still spots available for vendors to participate, and when I know the value of my product.

There's still time to change their minds!

All I'm asking for is an opportunity to participate in an event that I've personally attended and enjoyed, in a community I've lived in my entire life!.

The sole purpose of this petition is to prove to the organizers what an asset The Pop Shop can be to their event. I provide unique, quality products which have been enjoyed by many not only within the community, but across North America!

Please help me reach a fair, justifiable decision by signing this petition and having them reconsider their decision for The Pop Shop's participation in this event!
