In the fall of 2007, 1043 written surveys were mailed to assess our community, to identify needs, where to locate a 70 car parking lot for the Northern Heil Ranch Open Space Trailhead, and what we, as a community desire for our park. Of those 1043 surveys, 353 were returned from Lyons residents.
Since the results of this costly survey have been largely ignored, we request a special line item election to decide the current and future status of Bohn Park, adjacent town-owned property and any amenities, if any are to be added.
We, the undersigned FRIENDS & NEIGHBORS of BOHN PARK, hereby call on the Mayor and the Board of Trustees to request a special line item election to decide the current and future status of Bohn Park, and adjacent town-owned property, what facilities and/or amenities, if any, are to be added. Also, where in the vicinity of Bohn Park should the Heil Ranch Trailhead be located?
