Organizations. Businesses, and residents from across Georgia have been working to protect their coast from offshore drilling and seismic testing for years, and all the hard work has paid off. We are ecstatic to see the First District has a new-found ally, Representative Buddy Carter. On April 3rd 2019, the Congressman sent a letter to BOEM requesting Georgia be removed from the Five Year Plan for Outer Continental Shelf Drilling.
