In June, the Town Board unanimously passed a yearlong Moratorium on residential development while a Comprehensive Plan for the Town’s development is updated (the last one was in 2006).
Fallsburg’s Future has been monitoring and participating in these processes, which are key to the town’s future.
PETITION TO MAINTAIN THE INTEGRITY OF THE MORATORIUM.
I OPPOSE GRANTING DEVELOPER EXEMPTIONS OR VARIANCES TO LOCAL LAW #3 OF 2016 – MORATORIUM – Adopted June 27th, 2016 in the Town of Fallsburg.
I support the one-year moratorium on residential developments in the Town of Fallsburg, New York. As a Fallsburg resident, I encourage the Town Board to deny the granting of any exemptions in order to facilitate a Comprehensive Review of the entirety of the town.
To ensure the integrity of the moratorium, the Town Board should not allow any more exemptions or variances than the ones already made. The approved developments already represent a significant impact on the community that may jeopardize the healthy growth of our town.
