Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) has been a leader on a multitude of levels in education for the past two (2) decades. Home to nearly 180,000 students, the vision of GCPS is to pursue excellence in academic knowledge, skills, and behavior for each student, resulting in measured improvement against local, national, and world-class standards. This is evidenced by the numerous accolades and recognition GCPS has received on a state and national level.
Mr. J. Alvin Wilbanks (GCPS Superintendent) has devoted 25 years building the school system to what it is today. It is disheartening to learn individuals are attempting to terminate Mr. Wilbanks’ contract for his/her own personal agenda. This petition serves to show support in favor of Mr. Wilbanks remaining as the Superintendent of GCPS.
Please sign this petition if you agree Mr. Wilbanks should remain in his current role with Gwinnett County Public Schools.
We, the constituents of Gwinnett County, call on the Board Members of GCPS to cease interference with Mr. Wilbanks contract instanter.
