Lydia Edwards
Councillor District 1
Boston City Council
Dear Councillor Edwards and Quinlan Locke of the Mayor’s Office of Neighborhood Services:
We, the undersigned, want to express our support for Resilient Remedies (R2) to move forward with its plans to open a Retail Cannabis Establishment at 31 Cambridge St.
It is important the first cannabis dispensary be owned and operated by someone who lives in the community of Charlestown. Families in Charlestown for decades have suffered as a direct result of the policies from the ‘war on drugs.’ The community should benefit first from this new industry.
We believe this locally owned and operated organization is best suited to meaningfully contribute to our local business community and represent our local values in this emerging industry.
