Support Lidl Ayr

Our proposal seeks the regeneration of our existing Lidl store, neighbouring Brantano retail unit and associated car park into a new Lidl foodstore with accompanying car park and associated works at 15 Allison Street, Ayr,

Our new store will have an extended retail sales area, a dedicated in-store bakery, a new warehouse area and delivery bay. It will extend to 1,767 sq. m gross internal area, with a net sales area of 1,242 sq. m.

The proposed foodstore will be supported by 118 car parking spaces, including 6 dedicated disabled and 5 parent and child spaces, together with cycle parking and storage provision.

It is proposed that the foodstore will be open between the hours of:
• 8am to 8pm Monday to Saturday; and
• 9am to 7pm Sunday.

All waste will be stored within the warehouse area to the rear of the store and will be collected at the same time as deliveries, thereby minimising HGV movements. It should be noted that there will be a maximum of two deliveries per day.

The redevelopment of our store will provide the following benefits to the local area:

- A reconfigured store which provides a clean and shopping experience to meet the needs of customers with wider aisles to enhance the customer shopping experience.
- Customer toilets and disable toilets.
- A new in-store Bakery with an improved range of products.
- A contemporary building design that will complement the surrounding area.
- Continued employment being retained in the area.
