As soon as the Republicans took over, the first thing on their agenda was to "dismantle" Healthcare Reform. This is what they said. I couldn't understand why that would be first on their agenda. The economy is still bad and many of our Americans are still out of jobs and if you have a job, you are still paying for everything else under the sun.
If your not working how are you able to maintain your health? With COBRA? Or Medicaid? I found this highly hypocritical seeing as though generous health plans are available to federal employees; 72% of their premiums are paid for by the government. Meaning we are paying for their healthcare. How much is your employer covering, if you have one? Federal employees are offered 300 different private healthcare plans that all cover hospital surgical, physician and mental health services, catastrophic care, and prescription drugs. Their health care can also continue after retirement.
How many of you know of this kind of healthcare? I sure dont. Everyone should have the right to access affordable health care, regardless of how one group of people feel or due to any pre-existing conditions. All men (and women) should be treated equally. Not one people are better than the other.
The republicans have been in charge for an awfully long time and nothing has been done for the people as far as healtcare. What is the REAL reason Republicans are afraid of the Healthcare Reform. They said they don't want a government take-over and they want to reduce the deficit but the repeal would in fact ADD $230 billion to the deficit. So I ask again, what is the real reason for the repeal?
Many American are in need of this Healtcare Reform, America itself looks bad globally. We need to stop the government from repealing something that we are desperately in need of.
We, the undersigned, call on the federal government of the United States to not repeal or "dismantle" the Health Care Reform but make it better and beneficial to the American people and not the federal government.
