Parents who choose to go back to work after the birth of their baby are entitled to receive government assistance in the form of CCB, and CCR.
Family Day Care Educators who care for children in their own home are currently financially penalised when they have their own children at home because they are not entitled to enrol their own children in their own fully accredited business. It causes financial distress to the Educator who has chosen to continue her Family Day Career while she has young children.
No other career is penalised financially the way Family Day Educators are.
We, the undersigned, call on the Australian Government to allow Family Day Care Educators to enrol their own children in their Family Day Care business.
We call on the government to recognise that Family Day Care Educators should be entitled to the same working parent benefits that all other Australian parents in paid employment are.
