Quarry Ditch / Creek needs to be cleaned simply because it has become over grown with weeds, trees,small brush and sediment from years of erosion that has lead to small islands of grass growing, this alters the flow of water.
All the trees, small brush and islands also collect miscellaneous debris that further impedes the efficient removal of water from the area.
We Are trying to have Quarry Creek/Ditch cleaned out by Amherst township.
This will improve water removal from your, and others properties more efficiently to reduce drainage time, flooding and mosquitoes from standing water.
Signing this petition will put the ditch on a scheduled cleaning and maintenance program to keep the ditch clean and free from debris in the future.
