With rising tuition costs, college students are in as much of a financial struggle as senior citizens. This also contributes to why some prospective college students stay in state and/or closer to home in order to save money.
Since, college students are lacking in financial funds, it would only make sense to allow college students along with children, high school students, and senior citizens to receive a discount on train passes and tickets. This is important because students who live in the suburbs and go to school in the city need to ride the train everyday.
High school students don't take the train nearly as often and they receive discounts. Thus, we need to let college students get discounts !
We, the undersigned, call on the Chicago Transit Authority to extend train discounts to college students !
