Support a KU Tradition - reverse decision to not cancel class if KU wins the National Championship

We, students and supports of the Jayhawk Nation are in DISAGREEMENT to the Chancellor's email - sent Mar. 28th, 2012 - reading:

"Dear Faculty, Staff and Students,
Many of you have asked what the plans for Tuesday classes would be should the Jayhawks win the national championship on Monday night. Tuesday classes will be held as scheduled.

Provost Jeff Vitter and I believe that our first mission as a university is to foster academic success and that is accomplished in part by setting high expectations for our students. A national title would be worthy of celebration, but we are confident those celebrations can take place without disrupting KU's academic mission.
For fans who will remain in Lawrence, a KU-Ohio State watch party will be held in Allen Fieldhouse on Saturday night. Admission is free and doors open at 6:00 p.m.

Thank you for your loyalty to KU, and please celebrate safely!

We, the undersigned wish to state that we would like the Chancellor to reconsider the decision and allow KU students to celebrate a university tradition of welcoming home the team, spending time with fellow Jayhawks, and celebrating a landmark that happens very rarely.
