The target, Aventura Sunny Isles Beach Chamber of Commerce and Community Development has been instrumental in the development of the Aventura Charter High School. We feel that this organization will be able to represent the interests of this community and the need for a Public High School. There is no high school here, no other plans to build one, and this organization has made this one of their missions. The Chamber is concerned about the long term success of the commercial and residential well being of Sunny Isles Beach.
We, the residents of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida offer this petition of our unified voice to express our support for a Safe, Great, Free Local Public High School in Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, Now!!!
Students grades 9 to 12 who reside in Sunny Isles Beach waste a lot of time traveling to out of city high schools . This commuting also causes additional traffic issues.
A local Public High School will make a more rooted community through a continuum of education grades K-12. This will give continuity of peer grouping and surroundings to encourage further community involvement.
A local Public High School will provide additional facilities to the City of Sunny Isles Beach in the form of recreation, adult education, and community services.
We, the undersigned, call on the Aventura Sunny Isles Beach Chamber of Commerce and Community Development to assist us with this vitally important project and to carry out one of the primary missions of the Aventura Sunny Isles Beach Chamber of Commerce.
