There are people who dump waste anywhere possible. The chemicals and non-biodegradable materials in the waste affect the physical environment and the waterways by contaminating groundwater and soil. The wastes can also spread weeds and pests, therefore, affecting agriculture and wildlife. The wastes that are dumped into the oceans tend to have toxic substances, which soak in all the oceanic oxygen. This leads to a marked depletion of oxygen available to mammals and other fishes causing them to die in their natural habitat. It is our duty to take care of the animals or stuff worse than coronavirus can happen. We can make a change together
Environmental contamination due to solid waste mismanagement is a global issue. Open dumping and open burnings are the main implemented waste treatment and final disposal systems, mainly visible in low-income countries. This paper reviews the main impacts due to waste mismanagement in developing countries, focusing on environmental contamination and social issues. The activity of the informal sector in developing cities was also reviewed, focusing on the main health risks due to waste scavenging. Results reported that the environmental impacts are pervasive worldwide: marine litter, air, soil, and water contamination, and the direct interaction of waste pickers with hazardous waste are the most important issues. Many reviews were published in the scientific literature about specific waste streams, in order to quantify its effect on the environment.
I the undersigned call on the UN to educate people on the danger of waste disposal
