In mid-June 2010 residents of Strathmore Blvd. were essentially blindsided by a plan presented by the TTC to build second exits from Donlands and Greenwood subway stations.
The proposal calls for the removal of homes and erection of station exits on Strathmore Blvd., a quiet, residential street.

We, the undersigned, do not support the TTC's proposal to erect second exits to Greenwood and Donlands subway stations on Strathmore Boulevard and believe that the current plans will have a negative impact on our community. We believe the TTC's approach has been rushed and non-consultative.
We feel that very viable alternatives exist which balance the needs of stakeholders. We ask that the TTC slow its process to consider these alternatives in a methodical, fact-based manner in consultation with the community. The current timeline of construction commencing in 2011 is very aggressive and does not provide enough time for review and community input.
