Solihull Lido is now a target for redevelopment into a 6 terraced housing estate!
This important and historical part of Solihull Heritage could be lost forever, together with the fun filled memories of those who used it between 1954 and 1982.
Since 1984, Mother Nature has reclaimed the Lido as a connected, natural habitat for wildlife in a Conservation Area and adjacent to Brueton Park Green Belt.
Come and have a look, you can still make out the Lido despite the 100's of trees that have reclaimed the site.
The proposed redevelopment:
> is a serious danger to children and adults using the local Brueton Park entrance and exit.
> increases the danger to people accessing St Martin's school via their school gates.
> will increase traffic congestion getting into and out of Park Avenue, clogging up the Warwick Road.
> will cause grid lock at peak times around the exit gate of St Martin's school.
> is not in keeping with local properties and is not affordable housing.
