We need a petiton here in Colorado!

As Many of you know, Gas prices have been rising substantially over the course of the last two to three years. What you may not know, is that the United States of America has an abundance of oil in Alaska and elsewhere. The problem is that the EPA have protected the Alaskan terrain as national park land, and therefore, cannot permit drilling and now here in Western Colorado, Wyoming and Utah has an abundance of oil, natural gas and oil shale.

"Here on the Western Slope, we're an on an island and we're blessed," said State Senator Josh Penry. "And a big reason why is because we have billions of dollars in new investment in the energy sector."

"I can say if they're implemented as currently written today, you will see a mass exodus out of the state," said Ken Leis, owner of Laramie Energy.

"If these rules go into effect, I see Colorado going by the wayside and seventy-thousand plus people going to another state," said Glenn Moltrer, President of the Trinidad Chamber of Commerce and an energy developer himself.

The commission is considering a 90 day halt on all oil and gas drilling in a large portion of Western Colorado to help protect wildlife that some studies suggest are dwindling in number.

The wildlife? Give me a break. A lot of you enviros go out every year and put the sites of your rifles on Bambie and pull the trigger.

"You go to any restaurant, any bank, any business in the world and say what happens to your business if you shut it down for ninety days -- they'll tell you they're not going to do business there anymore," said Senator Penry.

We need to fight for domestic oil and gas Co's. They are the entity that will free us from being under the Mideastern's thumb. There are environmentally friendly ways to drill where needed regardless of what the enviro's want.

And here comes from one of the biggest problems here in Colorado Rep. Buescher...

"If we can have slow steady growth over the next twenty years, the economy of Mesa County can remain healthy, we can have a lot of good quality jobs and we can protect our environment," said Rep. Buescher.

Huh?
A new set of rules by August is expected by the State Legislature and then needs to be approved before the rules go into effect.

What does that mean? If they don't back off, there will be nothing, as in the 80's. Does Black Sunday ring any bells? The companies that will move out if not left alone from the absurd sanctions that the enviros want to be passed.

We need to fight back against the enviros here. Why you ask?

1. Unethical oil greed and pricing, and how it also lines the pockets of governments that support terrorism.
2. Employment - Struggling families who depend on Oil and Gas Companies for their income.
3. Local economy - Can be affected by an unemployment scenario of layoffs and business closings. Not to mention an increase of illegal activity.
4. Housing market - A sharp increase of foreclosures with much of the population moving away for opportunities elsewhere.

Why we need to fight back?

We need to unite against government lead Socialism here at home. And we need to stop it cold!

We have until August to get something going. Please sign the petition.

We, the undersigned, call on the Colorado State Legislature to stop the plans for the three month moratorium to shut the oil and gas exploration and drilling down.

This will result in not only significant job loss, revenue by the local and state governments, but any and all retail.
