Stop The Lower Way Childrens Centre from being closed

The centre is not only visited for knowledge and support for child development from health visitors, it is there to provide parental mental health and support to families that need the extra help.

Lower Way is a purpose built, larger facility that is already very over committed in terms of families using the facility now.

One smaller centre is not enough to cover Thatcham and surrounding areas.
Having one centre will limit days available to working mothers who may not be free on certain days.

This could have a very negative impact for women who need parental and mental health support.

For a centre that is already so busy, it is not appropriate to close it down leaving us with one small centre, whilst having plans to add further surrounding areas the use of the facility.

We need both to be kept open to support existing families and families from surrounding areas.
