We know people are dying waiting for ambulances and we know people are dying queuing for admission to local A&E Departments. We also know this is caused by a failure of effective movement through the hospital system and to ultimate discharge home or into the social care system.
THIS IS A LEVEL OF CRISIS THAT HAS NEVER BEEN SEEN BEFORE IN THE NHS.
