Since China's second UPR in 2013, the Chinese authorities have intensified the crackdown on both local and foreign human rights activists through arbitrary arrests, enforced disappearances, prosecutions, and imprisonment. These actions have been in contrary with the recommendations the Chinese government accepted in the 2013 UPR to provide a safe and enabling environment for human rights activists and civil society.

In many cases, Chinese authorities have invoked vaguely worded "national security" provisions in their draconian legislation, such as Articles 103 ('inciting separatism') and 105 (including 'subversion of the state power' and 'inciting subversion') of China's Criminal Law, to arrest, detain, and prosecute human rights activists without due process. New repressive laws, such as the "Law of the People's Republic of China on Administration of Activities of Overseas Non-Governmental Organizations in the Mainland of China" and the "Cybersecurity Law", have contributed to creating an unsafe and overly restrictive environment for civil society actors.
This exact approach is being imposed to Vietnam under the Communist brotherhood policies.

With Chinese obvious invasion plan, these exact repressive approaches are also identically being imposed on other countries and territories such as Tibet, Taiwan, Southern Mongolia and Uyghurs and Vietnam. Therefore, more recently and evidently, the Chinese have no respect for other nation territorial rights or human rights:

1. The CCP have drawn new frontier in the South Pacific Sea by claiming and occupying and controlling the nine dash line waters border on the Paracels and other islands. The military would not hesitate shooting fishermen’s boats, in these waters. Thus many sightseeing tourist and historical attractions suddenly became Chinese by force. Moreover, the local people have to apply for Chinese visa to travel to their own places of attraction.
2. The CCP caused significant damages to the environment by killing thousands of tons of fish along Vietnamese coastline by Formosa Chinese manufacture, affecting the well-being and livelihood of millions of families.
3. Food imported from China are poisonous and would kill people or cause unexplained diseases. Cancer rate in Vietnam is among the highest in the world.
4. Vietnamese Communist Parliament is merely a puppet of the CCP as the passing of the "99 year lease" bill of 3 important military & economic territories to China as well as the "cyber security law" to silence the people’s voice. Thousands of people protesting against the decision were brutally beaten and locked up without bail or a fair trial for up to 16 years for exercising their freedom of expression.
5. Deaths while in police custody happen on a daily basis. At least 5 people were “invited” for interrogation in police stations and died after a few hours. Their families were told that the victims committed suicide by stabbing themselves with scissors or paper cutters.
6. Flocks of Chinese people coming to Vietnam to stay freely; taking local jobs; using their own currency; building their own hospitals and schools.
7. Chinese have “imported” girls for sex industries. This is clearly woman rights violation.
8. The current plan of the CCP, is to gradually modify the language to assimilate with Chinese custom and culture. In Tibet, the teaching of Tibetan dialect is banned. A teacher was imprisoned for demanding the language to be taught at school.

Visibly and gradually the Chinese Communist Party have clearly applied the systematic assimilation process to these vulnerable countries thus greatly influence on the cultures, economies to make way for an easy, simple take-over of sovereignty of these countries, as they have done so to Tibet and Southern Mongolia, Uyghurs and now Vietnam.

No matter how many times the UN working groups had identified violations by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), there had been no responses to UN correction requests by the working groups on human rights violations.
Despite the decision of the Arbitral Tribunal under the United Nations Convention on the Law of Sea in 2016 ruling that China’s assertions over the South China Sea were not recognized under international law but China still continued occupying and controlling the nine-dash line and reinforce its building activity of the islands in the disputed waters.

We call the UN to:
1. enforce and exercise its power to remove the CCP's human rights council membership due to its continuous inactions or disrespect to the UN’s requests;
2. apply and enforce relevant, harsh sanctions in a timely manner if human rights conditions and international borders are not improved and protected according to the UN declaration of human rights and international laws.
