We all know full well the extent of the traffic problem on the Bedford Rd/Bursland Junction outside Tesco Express, we also know the main cause of this is the delivery vehicles using the road as a loading bay.
Outside Tesco Express is a parking bay designed for cars to park for a short period of time, Tesco Express uses this when it is free from obstruction however when it is not free from obstruction or they have more than one delivery at a time they use the Road only a few yards from the junction and Bus stop causing serious and dangerous traffic conditions.
Tesco then unload there vehicles heavy goods cages in through the main store often at peak times such as morning rush and afternoon school runs.
We, the undersigned, call upon North Hertfordshire District Council to enforce parking restrictions on the Bedford Rd/Bursland Junction and to request Tesco build a loading bay. Where their goods can be safely unloaded off road away from members of the public.
