Our teenagers/youth/Generation Z have been given a platform to model the use of guns and drugs via social media. The FCC removed cigarette commercial years ago because they were deemed "unhealthy" and considered "dangerous promoting". Our children are in a epidemic of guns violence like never before. It's as though it's the "cool" thing to do. Posting pictures with guns and drugs. This is the fuel to the fire because, it does not stop there. Social Media is where it starts, then they take it out in the streets. Social Media has robbed our children of years of innocence being allowed to post anything and everything without any fear of getting into trouble. We have to do more for our youth. If we strip away what appears to be popular, maybe just maybe, it will help.
We, the undersigned, call on Facebook or the FCC to eliminate the ability to posts picture with guns/drugs.
