Skycity is asking for 300 more gaming machines and in exchange it will build A Convention Center. SKYCITY has proven that it already has a very lax approach to Host Responsibility.
After all, how can a banned gambler still visit the Skycity for over 5 years before being caught by security.
More machines will lead to more gambling problems and it will have a detrimental effect on Auckland City.
SKycity is clearly being only profit driven.
We, the undersigned, call on the New Zealand Government to stop the additional 300 machines requested by Skycity in exchange for building a Convention Center.
We the undersigned believe that 300 more machines in Skycity will have a detrimental effect on Auckland City.
