Despite the fact my home has a functioning meter. Am still been billed excessively over the years because Ikedc has refused my meter readings. Several complaints have been made by me but all to no avail until recently in May 28, 2019, The Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission ruled in my favor and gave a judgment that my account with Ikeja Electricity Distribution Company be credited with the excess payment I have paid so far and my account reconciled to be reflected on the bill of May. This Ikedc agreed to which implies I will still have a credit balance of 21,259.41 naira on my account after the reconciliation has been effected. May bill has been distributed but the reconciliation has not been done putting me at disadvantage with their rude field men. The most painful part is the continuous embrassement their field men continue to give me. I was again disconnected from electricity on July 9, 2019 despite showing them the signed judgment of Nigerian electricity regulatory commission which Ikedc has refused to implement. This is causing me unbearable discomfort as every week am harassed by their field men. Am sure am not the only one facing this, there are many others. Voicing out will cause Ikedc to do the right thing in respecting the civil rights of its customers.
We the undersigned call on the Ikeja Electricity Distribution Company to credit all accounts with a functioning meter, the excess payments already made, stop estimated billings & distribute prepaid meters to all their customers thereby stopping the continuous harassment of their field men.
