Stop Organ Harvesting in China

PETITION

To the Honourable President and members of the Senate in Parliament assembled:

The petition of the undersigned shows:

Tens of thousands of illegally imprisoned Falun Gong believers have been used as a living organ bank, killed on demand to fuel China’s lucrative organ transplant industry, as outlined in 'The Killing Rooms' a special coverage report by The Epoch Times.

The undersigned petitioners therefore ask that the Senate:

a) Demand that the Chinese Communist Party immediately stop the persecution and live organ harvesting of Falun Gong practitioners and release, unconditionally, all Falun Gong prisoners of conscience;

b) Demand that the Chinese Communist Party allow access to prisons, labour camps, detention centres and relevant hospitals for the United Nations and human rights organisations to conduct independent investigations into human rights abuses at those institutions.

c) Discourage Australians from traveling to China for organ transplants, by providing full information of the risks and ethical issues involved;

d) Prevent hospitals, companies and institutions in Australia from providing goods and services and training to Chinese doctors, and China's programmes associated with organ transplantation, until such time as it is beyond reasonable doubt that no organs used have been harvested against the will of the donor.
