Thank you for signing the petition. I wanted to tell you personally how much I appreciate your support in an attempt to stop the NOCCCD's sanctuary resolution. I regret to inform you that this was a losing effort as I was outvoted 6-1 but I can assure you that I fought very hard and my strong opposition was heard by everyone in the room. My losing argument can be found at the following link and you may enjoy reading page 2 which contains OCGOP Chairman Fred Whitaker's letter on behalf of the Republican Party which I read aloud in the meeting - COPY & PASTE THIS: https://www.docdroid.net/GNFxhwb/nocccd-sanctuary-resolution.pdf.html
Fortunately, I was at least able to get the meeting to adjourn in honor of Sandra Duran, a mother of two boys, who while driving home from church two weeks ago was killed by a DUI driver who's a Mexican national that has previously been deported 5 times and had a 20 count rap sheet but is out of jail because of LA's Sanctuary policies. A GoFundMe account has been setup for her kids - COPY & PASTE THIS: https://www.gofundme.com/sandy-durans-children
The comments I received from our petitioners were thoughtful and highly intelligent responses to this resolution. I am proud to represent such patriots and thrilled that we have so many actively engaged Americans here in Orange County who will continuously take a stand for the rule of law in the spirit of self-governance. Although this battle is temporarily lost, our ability to keep our Republic will improve with every principled stance we take, which forces the relevance of our founding documents in the modern day. I know to most of us lovers of liberty, 2017 still feels a lot like 1776-1787 and we must continue to share that fearless freedom fighting mentality with everyone we meet.
The NOCCCD receives $58 million in annual funding from the federal government, hopefully for our students' sake, that continues. If you hear of any other local sanctuary city or district fights, please let me know about it and maybe we'll get a win somehow.
Thank you for your help!

Dear NOCCCD Board of Trustees:
I urge you to vote "NO" on the proposed Resolution titled, "Resolution No. 16/17-18, Support for Students and Privacy of Student Records" and I am against any similar sanctuary-type resolutions or policies that may arise in the future which are written specifically for Undocumented Immigrants..
This resolution is completely unnecessary because the NOCCCD already has very strict student record privacy policies in place for ALL students so there is no need to write this resolution with language that echos the sanctuary policies passed by a tiny fraction of out-of-touch policymakers.
We are a nation of laws and those are the values I support.
Sincerely,
Your Name
