Moorebank Recycling Plant Pty Ltd, proposed to be built alarmingly close to residential developments. The area, Moorebank East Precinct, was once an industrial site but the construction of nearby residential projects, such as Georges Fair, has since changed that.
The Negative Issues outweigh any Positives; Here are just a few;
- Increased Traffic - 350 Trucks entering and exiting per day (through a Residential area)
- Increased Noise Pollution
- No Guarantee of any hazardous materials not entering the site.
- Impact on House and Property Valuation.
We the undersigned call on the State Government to intervene and put a STOP to the Moorebank Recycling Plant being built in a Residential area.
We are not opposed to recycling, we are opposed to the positioning. There is a place for everything, and Moorebank is not the place for a recycling plant. It has come along way in the past 10 years, from what was once an Industrial area has now become a young vibrant community with Georges Fair and Brighton Lakes residents forming a tight knit family.
