Artists are mindlessly butchering songs in the form of cover versions. The time has come to put your foot down and say NO to artists like the Sugababes and Girls Aloud for the most heinous of crimes - the murder of 'walk this way' by Run DMC/Aerosmith and many other great anthems.
Something must be done, artists should either improve the song, which in many cases is difficult, or better still write their own songs or be forced to pay the penalty!
Its a lack of originality and creativity and a lazy way of squeezing money out of the general public.
We, the undersigned, call on the Music Industry and Governments Worldwide to punish arstists for their lack of originality, blatant plagiarism and butchery of truly great trunes.
